What is The Fine Canine?

The Fine Canine is a dog training operation servicing the Chicago, Illinois metropolitan area that wishes to successfully create trust-bonded relationships between dogs and their families. We provide dog training and behavior counseling programs based on positive methods of instruction that can help create fine canine companions, while also aspiring to prepare canines for competition. In addition, The Fine Canine has a sincere interest in promoting educated homes for shelter and rescue animals as well as canines with special needs.

The Fine Canine provides high quality, comprehensive, individual and group dog training programs that focus on leadership, socialization, and distraction exercises. Our programs are designed so that any dog owner can experience the pleasure of having their own fine canine!

Is Dog Training For Me?

Any dog owner who wishes to improve or enhance their relationship with their pet or canine companion is a candidate for our training programs. We can help you understand and modify unwanted behaviors in your pet, instruct you on the proper techniques to having a well trained dog or laying the foundation for it with your new puppy, and even teach you the handling skills necessary to successfully compete in agility trials with your canine. We also offer a boarding school training program for dog owners who want the peace of mind of having their pets trained by experienced trainers, a canine good citizen training and certification program for dog owners who wish to certify their pet's training achievements, and a canine therapy training program for pet owners who wish to get involved in animal-assisted therapy.
